BERLIN COMPUTER SAFARI

20th – 23rd April 2006

On this first specialist Safari, our aim is to introduce Berlin and its industrial heritage to you by exploring a broad range of sites in the city linked by travel on public transport, in itself part of the safari.

We will also concentrate on Berlin’s computer history, visiting sites connected with Konrad Zuse, German computer pioneer. There will be a seminar at the Technical University, hosted by Horst Zuse, Konrad’s son, as well as a specially guided visit to Zuse gallery in the renowned Transport and Technical Museum housed in works near the old Anhalter Station.

For the non-computer participant, alternative walks in the city will be provided, but everyone can enjoy the Sunday morning trip to Potsdam.
