Berlin Computer Safari 2006

This first specialist Safari, introduced Berlin and its industrial heritage by exploring a broad range of sites in the city linked by travel on public transport

We concentrated on Berlin’s computer history, visiting sites connected with Konrad Zuse, German computer pioneer. There was a seminar at the Technical University, hosted by Horst Zuse, Konrad’s son, as well as a specially guided visit to Zuse gallery in the renowned Transport and Technical Museum housed in works near the old Anhalter Station.

For the non-computer participant there were alternative walks in the city, and everyone enjoyed the Sunday morning trip to Potsdam.
